MFS provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and case management for victims of crime. We advocate for our clients throughout their ordeal, including court court accompaniment, navigating systems, and interpretation.
MFS provides clinical counseling*, support groups, immigration support, and educational programs (Classes for English as a second language, financial literacy, parenting and GED preparation).
MFS makes referrals to appropriate service providing organizations for a variety of needs which our clients may be eligible for, including legal aid, refugee services, victim services, etc.
MFS provides emergency assistance to provide food, clothing, shorter housing and monetary support.
MFS' expertise is providing culture based approaches to services, primarily with the diversity of the Muslim population. However, we also provide training and seminars on cultural competency for other service providing agencies and allied professionals across cultures.*
MFS is primarily funded by grants and donations. We also earn funds by providing cultural competence seminars and training. We relay on private donations to build our emergency fund. Therefore, the majority of our services are free of charge to our clients.
*Minimal fees are charged to clients for ongoing clinical counseling on a sliding scale basis.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
