Muslim Family Services of Colorad provides direct services and advocates for immigrants, refugees, victims of crime, and other members of the Muslim communty in need or impacted by inequities in society.
Victim Advocacy Program
MFS provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and case management for victims of crime. We advocate for our clients throughout their ordeal, including court court accompaniment, navigating systems, and interpretation. Contact MFS, if you are the victim of domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, hate crime, human trafficking, physical assault, fraud, housing discrimination, job discrimination, profiling, ect.
MFS provides clinical counseling*, support groups, immigration support, and educational programs (Classes for English as a second language, financial literacy, parenting and GED preparation).
MFS makes referrals to appropriate service providing organizations for a variety of needs which our clients may be eligible for, including legal aid, refugee services, victim services, etc.
MFS’ expertise is providing culture based approaches to services, primarily with the diversity of the Muslim population. However, we also provide training and seminars on cultural competency for other service providing agencies and allied professionals across cultures.*
MFS is funded by grants and donations. We relay on private donations to build our emergency fund. Therefore, the majority of our services are free of charge to our clients.
*Minimal fees are charged to clients for ongoing clinical counseling on a sliding scale basis. There is also a fee to professionals to professionals for cultural competence seminars and training.
